Any ideas as to when the Honami will get its official (or unofficial, if you know what I mean) unveiling?
I really want to see what the beast looks like. I also hope that massive sensor has only 12mp to ensure largest pixel size.

I've heard it has a downsampling mode like Pureview 808 at 4 MP resolution and that the quality is absolutely outstanding and easily superior to most point and shoot digital cameras

Leaks usually tend to happen 1-2 months before any kind of official announcement. Very recent rumours here have suggested an August/September , instead of an September/October release (which is back to what the first mention, of any kind, of the release time-frame was). This would mean that proper leaks would happen around the end of July, or possibly early August. Personally, I am hoping for an August release, although late September is looking to be the most likely - and with that in mind, an official announcement would be around early September.

Heck, even at 6 or 8MPx the image quality would be far beyond most smartphone cameras and even point at shoots.
Good news though. Does the camera have a focusing lamp?

Howdy all from Mexico

I must say this is my first real use of my rx100 camera and it's doing an amazing job! I'm here with about 35 people and EVERYONE loves it. Can only hope Honamis image quality can approach this sucker.

Unfortunate. Might have been a good idea to have one, on such a camera focused phone.

they may just add an LED like phones now, for focusing and torch mode, and have the xenon flash for actual flash pictures. that's just a guess. don't see why it would be a big deal to add.
