According to SE customer service in Finland k790i is cancelled! They said that gsm operators weren't interested in edge phone while concentrating on umts. I wonder if anyone elsewhere can confirm the situation of k790i?!

That's true. K790 will only be sold in countries not having 3G. In Finland and other countries with 3G, only K800 will be sold.

I'm tired of the US, it sucks! Stupid EDGE, stupid 850 band, stupid Cingular! ....Sorry, I'm just a little pissed, my K750i won't work in my area.

@ikjadoon - Actually Cingular is ahead of the pack on 3g service - they are the only ones world wide who have deployed HSDPA, everyone else is still on UMTS moving towards HSDPA. Problem is, they chose a frequency for their service which is different than what was accepted in Europe, and SE has not released any 3G phones on that frequency.

Well the K750 had a 1.8 inch 176x220 pixel screen, and the K800 has a 2 inch 240x320 pixel screen. The K800 will have a much finer image than the already fine K750 one. QVGA screens are top notch quality and produce a finer image then most destop LCD monitors. Only thing that beats the finness of QVGA is the 352x416 pixel screens from Nokia and the VGA screen from Sharp; TBH though, they are both power hungry screens.
