the aperture controls the amount of light also the time that the film or sensor is exposed to the light. for instance bright daylight would need an aperture of 2.8 @ f/125 or above speed which also depends on the speed of the film used,
overcast days would use 5.6 @ /60 or thereabouts the 5.6 is the size of the opening aperture and the f/125 is the amount of time that the film/sensor is exposed to the light, and shutter speed also determines brightness.

Well it has been pretty quiet around here for the past few hours, so I reckon that everyone is busy or such, anyways I got another very,very interesting link which is a must read by all, luckily you could also just read the pages that captures your interests, but I think this one should also be in your bookmarks so that you could check upon everynow and then, and also reading certain pages will give you a better understanding of what could bring about an even better camera driver.
