Hey gola, if you want to see the specs of a certain phone more precise and clear, better look for the developer page like developer.sonyericsson.com or forum.nokia.com it'll give you a more detailed spec sheet along with some IT-related specs for developing it's applications

what was wrong with firmware updates for w800/w810? i found them to benefit the phones each time a new one was released....... ah well, that could have just been my phones

1. w800i usb access data transfer rate for a memory stick duo is slow (due to the phone)
2. Taking pictures w/h large memory stick results in randomly failure and exiting to phone menu.
3. Last release that I saw for the w800i was 6/4/06, thats ½ year after the phone was released. SHAME!
4. There are still a lot of bugs, for example, copy music to the phone with Disc2Phone (bad software) is Slooow (see no. 1) and the memory gets corrupt, when I listen to some mp3:s suddenly some other mp3 parts appears and back again to the song I listened to. That's a scary memory managment bug in the w800 series.

I still want the memory BUG fixed cause I'm to scared to use memory sticks with the w800 Phone and risk loosing my data.

I realise this is off topic and from a few post back, but the info is completely inaccurate and I felt needed setting straight.

1. USB protocol is not true USB2 mass storage, this is true of most phones including Nokia, motorola etc. There are very few phones that offer true USB2 transfer speeds.

2. This is limited to your phone. I have never seen any other reports anywhere to indicate phone crashing when taking photos with large memory stick. I have taken thousands of photos with my W800 using 1 and 2GB memory sticks with no problem whatsoever.

3. The last release firmware for the W800 was R1BD001, it works flawlessly and no further upgrades are needed.

4. The file transfer and corruption problems where limited to R1N035 and R1AA008 firmware. R1BC002 completely fixed this issue. There is no memory bug int he W800 firmware. I used the firmware for 2 years and never experienced crashing or memory problems of anykind.

If you have tried SEUS to update your phone and it only goes to R1AA, DEBRAND your phone and get R1BC002 firmware on the thing. It will solve all your corruption problems, if not it simply means your phone hardware is screwed.

NOW, to get back on topic, I LOVE THE W960!! Now I don't know to get this or K850. K850 5MP camera with active lense cover against the W960 with touchscreen and sexy styling. That's saying something for me - I don't usually associate "sexy" with inanimate objects!

P1i vs. W960i

At first I was tempted to go for the P1i. Then I read the discussions in this forum and thought should I wait for the W960i may be. But its being a long long wait..... can't wait any longer!

Is it wise to buy a P1i NOW or should I still wait for the W960i?
(It is taken for granted that both phones have pros and cons....)

I had the same doubt, I chose to buy the P1i with absolutely no regrets (I put the w960 theme on it ), just waiting for cheaper 8Gb M2 cards now

@Peio

Where did u get the w960i theme? I would love to put that on my p1i. I would apreciate it if u could steer me in the direction of that theme. Also to add to the conversation iv posted in another thread about the possibility of flashing the p1i with w960i firm ware, effectivly giving you a w960i with all the perks of a p1i. Food for thought.

the w960 is a beautiful phone, but I still am inclined to choosing the K850i. It's got a 5mp camera with a sleek design and features. The only difference is you may not be able to store as many songs, but then again..its not a walkman phone, hence has an entirely different set of features that are lacking in the w960i. So, take a look at it and hope that it's the phone you go for The 850i is available in a few days in all markets and the w960i is expected in another next month or two. I haven't heard of any release dates for the month of Oct.
