another thing i am very concerned about is the fact that its a full touchscreen and doesnt have a keyboard and therefore how will it be for email/sms typing?
is the droid a better option if you are used to a keyboard phone like xperia x1?

It's all down to software - the fact that it's not multitouch (yet) isn't a good start, as this allows for software keyboards to be much faster and more fluid in operation.

Have to say the reviews haven't been kind to the Droid's "proper" keyboard though - it's glued on, very thin, and not very responsive with little or no movement.

that guy in the video sealover linked obviously doesn't know the proper specs...

first he says 4.1" screen, which is incorrect only 4"
and then he says AMOLED screen, which we all know is not correct. I turned it off after that cause I didn't want to be told any more incorrect information. Plus, I doubt he'd show me anything more than I haven't already seen from other more accurate reviewers.

Is that the same type of display than on G1?

The one on G1 works with fingertips but NOT really with nails, so also no stylus....
So no precise work....

A very big downgrade in functionality...
Is that the same on X10??

Also - is that true that android has no bluetooth sharing of files?
G1 doesn't have it....

It's the same kind of dispaly. It's capacitive. So it won't work with nails. But as I know there are some special stylus to use with capacitive screens. But I don't think you need a stylus, with that huge screen and Android software. You also can't use a stylus with iPhone, but symbols are all big enough, so that you don't need 1.

Thanks for the answer!

That is extremely dumb and a huge functionality downgrade..
I like when TScreen works with ANYTHING not JUST something
the motherf**k...ing company decides to work with
because they know better.....

This way bye bye android cr..p.

As for working - well mate, maybe to do browsing it's ok,
but for any serious text work finger is a pain in the butt,
whether if it's a 3,5 or 4 inch screen.

It's an unreliable nightmare.

I really think sometimes that that is an idiots-plague in
smartphone industry, getting rid of multifunctional solutions
into dumbed, feature phone-like solutions,
because 90% of users are idiots...

Arghhhh!!!!
