I have a quick question about ICS (gonna post in here in case I do ever get the ray )

So on the Mini Pro (on Gingerbread I believe), you can only create folders on the homescreens. If you look at Samsungs or HTCs, you can create folders in the apps menu.

Has this changed with ICS? Or is this always going to be the case with S(E)?

Upgraded to 4.0.4 as well

@bronxdude, try restarting your phone. Might just be a glitch. I still have it in my Applications List.

You can't, even with the latest 4.0.4 version. Virtually, the apps menu has the same GUI and features, nothing has changed since Gingerbread.

I upgraded to 4.0.4 as well, so far the device seems just a bit faster, didn't notice anything else.

Thats just a different Home Launcher. I use Go Launcher. Much faster than the stock of any of the Android brands. Allows folders in the app drawer too.

How to instal samsung's My Files into Ray? It asks for permisions start installing and shows message not installed. I want it really bad, it is most similar file manager that SE has in non smart phones.

Not sure if Samsung opened that to other manufacturers (much like TimeScape isn't available for others to use) but you can try to use the apk found here. PLEASE DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK. This requires altering the system folder of your phone. And change the permission as well.

(Is your phone set to install non-market apps?)

I have been trying to update my phone's music library.
Since the ICS update it started to act idiotic didn't update the library with the new files even after several restarts and cleaning cache on Music application.

At last I have found the solution. You have to clean cache from Madia Depot application. That will solve the issue.

Cheers.

You need to have rooted your phone for this to work, then use something like root explorer to copy and paste the file over, not forgetting to change the permissions to rw,r,r
