Instructions:
the black thing is some sort of multipurpose clay called "Sugru", it cost about £12 for few packets. To make this I used two packets. The website is Sugru.com. When doing this, you need to allow the Sugru to cure and "harden" for 24 hours.
If you don't want to damage your battery cover, you may as well use a Niilkim Hard Case (like this:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NIL[....]reen-Protector-/251269872133). I used the battery cover because I had one spare black.
The last thing is the filter mount, is called a 42mm to 52mm Stepping up ring adapter (I bought exactly this:

The total cost for this was (in sterling pounds, as I live in the UK):
1) Sugru: £12
2) Battery cover: £9.99
3) Stepping up adapter 52mm: £4.90
After this, you can use any 52mm CPL filter or any Neutral Density Filter (ND). The cost of these filters depend on the quality or brand (the brand Hoya are too expensive). I bought a CPL which cost like £3.75.
One positive thing: 52mm is the same one used by Nikon so you might as well visit your local photography shop for cheaper/used filters and test them before you buy them.

^ I don't see why not ... it would hide the sugru work nicely. The only downside is that you might loose the Nokia logo on the back there.. it will be kind of a blacked out emblem on a bmw
Here is my kit in preparation of waiting for the next proper cameraphone.
1X engineering marvel a.k.a Nokia 808 PureView
3X original back covers, all colors. Good change of pace when you get bored.
3X original BV-4D batteries. Very good for camping, traveling, or emergency power needs.
2X original BL-4D batteries. These are from the N8 but they work fine. Total.. that's about a week worth of shooting
1X aftermarket battery charger
1X Jobi tripod
1X Nokia tripod mount
1X Nokia case
1X Canon neck strap, tied to the case so that I can carry it around my neck.
3X original Nokia wrist straps
3X 67mm filters (UV, PL, FLD) I usually just hold them in front of the lens.

Adding extra home made add ons such as those filters or lenses defeats what the 808 was all about, for me anyway.
It would be easier to just buy a cheap DSLR and play around with different lenses and filters surely ?

lol... mine is similar... but I only have ONE spare battery....
filters = Nikon circular polarizer, HOYA variable ND (9 stops) & Infrared filter
