@Vlammetje
Loved your theme tutorial. Downloaded one from gseth too.
I'd like to make my own K700i themes but don't have any Imaging software. What do you recommend?
Your Juventus and Spiderman animated themes are very impressive,
obviously a lot of work went into them. How long did they take you?

I don;t precisely know how long each of them took
On both f them, the animation is compiled of ripped frames from a movie trailer (Spidey) and a TV broadcast (Juventus) converted to mpeg and the ripping of the frames alone took a VERY long time
I use Photoshop and Image Ready for all my imaging stuff, it's great stuff! It's not free however, far from it. You could alsways try it for a month though
As far as image editors go, I don't think it matters which one you use, as long as you're comfortable with it and know your way around it, so if I were you I'd try out different things before you buy..... and have a look at the GIMP as well, that is freeware and said to be good. I have never used it so can't say, but it's worth a try I'm sure
I look forward to your themes mate, and if you need any help just ask!

Vlammetje,
Could you make a Chelsea theme like the Juventus one, please?

Checked out the GIMP. Seems like a whole lot of work to get it up and running though. It requires more computing knowledge than I have.
I know Photoshop isn't cheap, I just wanted to see if it's what everyone uses before I splash out...
I've made some basic themes for my K700i - no good enough for public display yet.
They're based around Honda road and race car pics from Google and BARf1.com. If I can master animation, I'd like to try some rugby themes such as Super 12/All Blacks/2005 Lions tour

I learnt animation by doing 4-frame smilies at first

it's actually quite easy with a program like image ready, first you prepare your layers and then you link your layers to frames and it's done
