Glo published their 3G tarriffs in newspapers yesterday. My copy was blurred... anyone with a clean copy to tell us? I think I saw something like 30k/mo for browsing. I am checking Gloworld.com
Here they are![ This Message was edited by: coolapostle on 2008-02-20 11:45 ]

Is there any need to request for new settings or are they still the same?

@coolapostle: Thanks for the Glo 3G Plus heads-up.
If the information on that page is correct, can anyone confirm that Glo charges prepaid lines 20-35k per kb for GPRS?

For the unlimited 3G @#15,000 what happens when you exceed the 3gb limit?
Do you get disconnected or what?
besides, there is no info on coverage yet.

@AYA:Yes, Glo charges 35k per kb for peak and 20k per kb for off peak as per postpaid.
@mamba: welcome back, we missed you. I guess when you exceed 3gb you will billed at pay as you browse rate( 20k to 35k per kb.)

Thanks brym! I know about postpaid (I have a postpaid line). But what I'm asking about is PREPAID. The info on that 3G tariff page gives the impression that PREPAID are charged those same 20-35k per kb.

I was at Glo HQ today and can confirm that for now 3G services are only available for postpaid subscribers. And to use any of the packages you are required to pay a security deposit which is about 100 % of the monthly charges.

Okay guys, Glo 3G is alive and running. I had my line activated yesterday and was able to browse late last night. I have a post up at
First time browsing on Glo 3G.
This morning, I have run more detailed tests, and I will be putting up a follow-up article with screen-shots and details of which settings work (its all official, so no problem going public with it).
Please go through the articles and let me know if you have any questions or any tests you'd love for me to run. I have the P990 for only another 48 hours and then its off to the new owner.

Crazy Ignoramus... all of them! Even at Glo HQ they informed me that 3G is only for postpaid subscribers.

@brym!: The folks at Glo HQ are no better off than those elsewhere. I remember my experiences with the HQ people when I was having Glodirect activated on my contract line years ago.... Like you said, crazy ignoramus they are.
