Hiya all!
So after the party we had here at work on Friday, I ended up going to Pietermaritzburg with some friends. Had a ball of a time and very little sleep. I must say that the trucks on the road(there were like kazillions of them)last night have a death wish, they drive really
k@k!! And to add to the misery it rained the all the way back to Joburg. It felt as though I had a role Final Destination, trying to beat death and stay alive...
Hope ya'll have a great start to the week!

Congrats, Jmash... enjoy it, bhuti, just don't burn your bridges behind you aka stay in the good books with your parents... I speak from experience- there's nobody on the planet who can bake tastier bread than my dad, and nobody as good with a sick baby as my mom. Hint- get a house that's not too far nor too close to the family... That way you guys aren't crowding each other yet close enough in case of emergency (or yearning for "like my mother makes it" food)
Check this out, guys... Grade 6 English test written earlier today, and these were some of the priceless gems which my kids seem to think will meet with my approval-
(i) Somebody who bakes bread and cakes is a .........
(iii) As proud as a ..........
(iii) A synonym for Disappear is ...........
(i) sheep
(ii) butcher
(iii) Explosion

Okay, my weekend in pictures:
Friday when I got home I found this package waiting for me from the man, the legend, Amawanqa....Everything in great condition...
Then Friday we went to the Breytenbach Theater for the dancing thing. Quickly took this picture while walking in, and it came out rather nice. No standing around there, as this place was on the edge of the dodgy part of town.
Brilliant show intro,as mentioned. When the curtains opened the first thing you see a guy that has just landed with a parachute, and it looked real, parachute still open after the come-down...If only I had my camera ready...
Anyway, Saturday, Band Practice. My one friend always comes and brings her two daughters. This is a cool one I got of the older one...Will not post the picture of me swinging the 5yr old by her feet using 1 hand...(they seem to enjoy that kind of thing)
Last night, the legendary stoep. This is where i sit almost every night and watch tv shows on my phone, work on songs, smoke pipe tobacco or hubly, or just hang with my friends. I am standing just off center close to the side I was photographing. The stoep is just as big going both ways, have a nice choice of where to sit. Nice summer nights we sit in front of the stoep, mattress out against the wall, blanket on the grass. Last night we had some awesome amounts of rain..
This last picture was on the way to work this morning, taken just as you drive over the mountain. Lovely and wet, to justify all the traffic we had.
And that was what went on inside my left nostril this weekend;-P

lol Coola, i agree. In one sense of the meaning he's quite right... One short fuse and enough of the proper type of propellant and one could very easily disappear forever
@Francois, i'm glad that your package arrived. Was a bit surprised that yours was in one of those envelopes though... Mine was wrapped slightly differently, to provide enough room for the other assorted electronic items
