I need to take everything off my mac, but i don't have an external HD or any blank dvd media etc etc. I don't have much, and the majority off stuff i can save to my ipod shuffle. I wasn't going to save my itunes music library as i have everything on my ipod and i can transfer it all back onto my new laptop. The only thing is i have ipod games, will i be able to take these off my ipod and put them back into itunes?

Thanks!

I always say for as much as you can afford, I am not sure how easy it is to upgrade the imac's memory 2Gb will surely do you well especially if you going to want to run Windows on there as well. I struggled with 1Gb and Windows so yeah 2Gb or more.

Just ordered one:

iMac, 24-inch,
Intel Core 2 Duo
2.4GHz Intel Core 2
2GB SDRAM
Apple Wireless Mighty Mouse
320GB
SuperDrive 8x (DVD±R DL/DVD±RW/CD-RW)

All for less than £1200 bargin!

Could have went for the top model but the extra spec had no benfit for me, so made my own spec up and saved a couple of hundred quid

Oh i can't wait!

Mac here i come!

Yay! Just ordered myself one too:

iMac, 20-inch, 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
Apple Mighty Mouse
2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
SuperDrive 8x (DVD±R DL/DVD±RW/CD-RW)
Keyboard (English) + Mac OS X (English)
1GB 667MHz DDR2 SDRAM - 1x1GB
320GB Serial ATA Drive

I'll get an additional 1GB of RAM from Crucial, as it's less than half the cost of Apple's RAM!

not sure about them myself, not yet... but they are tempting esp when I can get them for les then 750 for the basic spec model or the top one for a max of 1370... it is very tempting...

jools I sell good ram branded cheap if your interested? Pm or email me for some details.

Um also why are the wireless keyboards missing the right section of keys? bit lame init?

And why do they have that black border around the screen? its silly...

also just got the new iwork - bit of fun isnt it

After telling me my new iMac would be shipped next Tuesday 14th, I just got a text message from Apple saying it's shipped today!

Should be here tomorrow or Friday!
