For me, it's not the shortage of free ram that is the problem, as I regularly go into the task manager to close programs anyway...
As I have said before, my only real problem is the inability to receive SMS messages... and so far, it looks as if I am the only one, plus this has happened on both my P990's..... (yeah, at the moment I have 2)
I don't know if the new firmware will help, or whether it's a problem with my VF account.
The messages arrive, but I can't open them.

einst; think your inbox memory overflow. same thing happened to me. try storage manager and delete all inbox files. If still cant, have to re-install firmware

Yeah my friend's P990 does has the same problem, phone charged everyday, latest firmware, no GPRS, no WIFI, no camera, makes mostly calls with the bluetooth on yet it lasts only a couple hours.

Bytes... Thanks for the reply..
yeah, pretty wierd that this is on both P990's...
funny thing is that the first one never got a txt properly, but the second one did get about 2 messages ok, before it went belly up.. although I have got 3 txt ok from one person on O2 (found out who is his provider)
so, did you get exactly the same problem... SMS comes in, you go to open and it says incomplete at the top right side of screen, then a box opens and says access denied.
I can go to forward (FC) and I can read the message, so all is not lost.
Just hoping the next firmware update cures the problem.
