The W42s might be rebadged as W888i for Europe. Its quite an unusual design so the W888 designation would fit in with that nicely.
@Shaliron, does the W888 fit in with any info on the 1st post?

I thought W888 would be Ai in another casing, may be in larger keypad?
Remember this :
K500 ---> K508
K600 ---> K608
K610 ---> K618
Those 3 phones added a "8" in last digit and we all know that the specs are the same as previous except their casing.

But wasn't the K608 exclusive to3 UK when launched.
Does this mean that the W888 will be an exclusve operator version?

AFAIK 'Xxxx8' is normally given to the Chinese/Asian or alternate versions of phones.
The M608 was announced as a 2G version of the M600; I think it was to do again with the Asian market (due to larger use of 2G). The K508 is another version of the K500 and was more popular (widespread) than the K500 in China. The Z558 was a touchscreen version of the Z550 intended for the Chinese market for improved text input.
So I'd expect the W888 to be 2G version of the W880 (Ai).

Never knew that before. But nowadays in Indonesia it's easier to find brand new K608 (white or black) than K600.

Look on GSMarena.
W880 on the T-mobile website. Hasn't this been placed on a fake t-mobile website?

That isn't the W880. That's a Japanese SE (W42S). The W880 is the Ai.
