serious text work?

Have you try to texting with an iPhone + your finger? It's faster than typing with X1 + stylus... And it's already accurate with that big icon...

X10 also had an additional queued predictive texts that is showing at the same time... Just watch X10 messaging hands-on videos that is posted by rog at se-first.com... You'll know why you don't need a stylus...

Having capacitive screens means that we can enable multitouch for rapid keyboard tapping (later at Android 2.0) so we can types much faster with 2 fingers... Increased response time and touch sensitivity is also a big plus

For capacitive screens, there is also special types of stylus that work, but you wont need it since working with your thumb is easier... You don't need to push on the screen like you do with resistive... On capacitive, you only need to touch, and that's why we don't need a stylus on big 4" capacitive screens

EDIT:
I had tried Satio in local SE-Store in my town... Resistive screen is a big issue for me, especially if you had use iPhone before... Sometimes I want to use only one hands without stylus but I can't do that when typing with Satio in portrait mode...

All technologies have their pros and cons. In my opinion a capacitive TS is the better solution for working with your finger. Works much easier. Text working features (like easy copy and paste) have also been improved, so you don't need a stylus anymore. Bur maybe you're right, that for you a stylus-friedly screen would be better. But for me it was the right decision by to use the capacitive screen.

Oh dear. Doministry's figured out that most other phones aren't based on the Xperia X1.

You are wrong, there is a front camera of course but the black front fascia is hiding it well

I see two holes on the left side of the phones. Stereo speakers?

EDIT: Oh, only the upper holes has a sound. So what is the holes on the bottom left of the phone? (I'm not talking about a lanyard holes on the bottom )

both systems (capacitive and resistive) have pros and cons.... I agree that, with big screen, capacitive screen is okay for texting.... but sometimes I do want to make sketch drawing. Actually I do make a lot of drawing (sketch) on my Xperia X1. here I think, the stylus is very useful.

You can remove the battery cover thanks to this "hole".
