I hope it is just testing many different SoCs. Mali GPUs are trash compared to adreno.
I'd rather have 6g1 ("underclocked 778") for 10 v.
D8000 would ruin battery emdurance with quad A78 instead of dual. And
A55@2.0Ghz is too much.
Iphone pro camera is imx803. So, this proves that 903 + 803 + 557 for pro-i 2 story is fake.

D8000 series is very good, 888 performance while still friendly to the battery. all thanks to the optimized TSMC N4. 7G1 is somewhat lackluster due to Qualcomm dont want it to cut into the 870 sales, also that dumpster fire Samsung 4nm
But I have to admits Adreno GPU is much better in games/apps compabitility. And the ISP/modem Qualcomm made are top-notch compared to Mediatek. But most of you dont care about that. Good perf in benchmark + good battery life is all you care about

I do not think mediatek has ISP weak. At least samples posted by gsmarena from XA1 were better than XZ Premium. Not small margin. If you downscale both to 8MP, photos of XA1 wipe the floor with XZP.
Any news if the return to South Korea is true?
I do not understand why ppl complain so much about 888/8g1. Both are nowhere near the 810 issues. They do not need to have cores disabled. 810 that was made at tsmc.

I’m glad that Sony give themselves to new opportunity with new era of Mediatek.
Almost ready to give up on Sony phone due to many aspects that lackluster but DS99 somehow keep my ears open about this development.
With 12GB RAM setup I hope for something nice maybe little sibling of whatever coming out of pipeline.
At least longer camera operation that wouldn’t limit by excessive amount of heat output.

After seeing the latest in the making, eh. Me not impressed
Sony as usual, still cant catch up and still using "obsoleted" hardware from last gen. Others are racing to get variable aperture + 1 inch sensor.
Sure, the next "PRO" is gonna have some unique stuffs, but from the PQ perspective, completely lost and its not even released yet
Call me cynical but it is what it is....
Also, the price for next year phones should be cheaper due to various factors. Sony not decided the price yet but I hope they reduce it for customer sakes

Considering the amount of money lost between 2015-2019, zero surprise sony tries all possible to fix finances. I would not mind if next pro has same imx486, as long full area is used.
I wonder how can be cheaper. Android phones for 2023 have 8g2/ddr5x/ufs4.0. Not even counting other pieces.
I know oppo and honor have tested imx989, not sure if vivo gonna use it or counterpart isocell.

Yeah, I don't see how it could get cheaper since inflation is goin wild right now. The best case scenario for 1V to is to retain 1IV pricing but I doubt 5 V has the comfort to do the same.
When it comes to new PRO at this point I'm not even sure it has Type 1 sensor of any kind anymore. Unless they have some more leftovers of RX100 sensors which they turned into IMX4** somewhere and then took them for an upgrade to feature HDR burst, Wide Dynamic Range video, etc. We will see soon.

Making a "pro-i 2" with smaller cmos (even if it uses larger area) would be awful from marking POV. Considered a failure. XQ-54CCu real or fake?
The fake news to hide real specs of next "pro" are getting too creative. Device would need to have 30mm thickness to house all cam setup they claim.

Three 2023 Xperias spotted so far but only one of them has SD8 Gen1. What does it mean?
