Yep, Bin Laden's not a good example. Just the same as Blair or Bush.
All the mentioned above have killed millions under their authority. Lets try to keep the above names out of the religious thread. As they give a bad name to each religion.

@PeterKay

As much as I may disagree with Bush and Blair's policies, they don't call for people to be murdered nor do they deliberately target civilians either. Their actions may result in countless deaths, including civilians, but at least that wasn't the intention. Of course that does not make those deaths any less horrendous, but there is a difference in actively trying to kill civilians by design and civilians being killed by accident. Neither is acceptable to me, but the distinction is there all the same.

They're all the same, under their authority many have died and that's the bottom line. They will have to answer to the lord regarding their actions, they may get away with it in this world but definately not in the hearafter.

Chapter 63 Verses 10/11 from the Glorious Quran states clearly:

And spend something in charity out of the substance which We have bestowed on you, before Death should come to any of you and he should say, "O my Lord! why didst Thou not give me respite for a little while? I should then have given largely in charity, and I should have been one of the doers of good".

But to no soul will Allah grant respite when the time appointed for it has come; and Allah is well acquainted with all that ye do.

One death is here, their is no going back.

Chapter 3 Verse 189-190 from The Glorious Quran states:

To Allah belongeth the dominion of the heavens and the earth; and Allah hath power over all things.

Behold! in the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the alternation of night and day,- there are indeed Signs for men of understanding.

No offense PK but people have been ebaying images of jesus on toasted cheese sandwiches. "Signs" appear everywhere if people are going to go out of their way to look for them. (Take the people with the signs of stigmata for example)

Aarti saves Ganpati bhakts (devotees) from landslide

Devotees were praying when the tragedy struck, 11 homes razed but none hurt

Miracles happen sometimes. And if they happen during the Ganesha festival, it’s surely reason enough for the devotees to feel blessed.

On Sunday, they indeed felt so when Ganesha saved lives of hundreds of slumdwellers living in Surya Nagar (Park Site), Vikhroli, where a landslide occurred in the morning.

At around 11:30 am, a landslide took place in the hilly area of Surya Nagar, destroying eleven hutments. The heavy rains triggered the landslide in this area which has seen several landslides in the past during monsoons. However, miraculously, no casualties were reported.

Most of the residents were in Subhash Baburao Patil's home when the landslide took place. Patil and his family were making arrangements for the aarti for the Ganesh idol in his home. The neighbours had gathered there to take part in the aarti.

Just when the aarti was about to begin, everybody saw a huge crack developing in the wall of Patil's home and rushed out, sensing serious danger. "Because we all were gathered for the aarti in one place, we could alert ourselves immediately and were saved. Had been in our homes, we couldn't have rushed out as quickly and something terrible would have happened," said Nandu Maruti Sable, a construction worker and one of the residents of Surya Nagar, who lost his home.

But the miracles did not end here. To the awe of everyone, the portion of Patil's house where the Ganesh and Gauri idols were kept remained intact. The rest of the house has collapsed due to the landslide, but the Ganesha and Gauri in Patil's home were unaffected, waiting for their visarjan (immersion) that is to take place on Sunday evening.

Patil, a handcart puller said, "Thanks to the Ganesha in my home, all of us were saved. I am really thankful to him.

Is this a miracle or a co-incidence?
