MTN always charged for delivery reports.I knew about it for 18 months ago.........The last time i mentioned MTN slashed DATA prices. What i did not say is Vodacom is still cheaper on data rates. MTN has 3 bundels ,10meg,100meg and 1gig if you go outside bundels Voda is cheaper......Check the press tomorrow MTN is launching there new data rates...........Why wait for MTN to launch 3G when Voda rates are cheaper or by the way MTN will be launching EDGE in June when they have 3G This message was posted from a P900

@Tahir: You're starting to sound like a stuck record. Does Vodacom pay you for all the free publicity?

MTN haven't even officially released their price plans for GPRS and guess who's already slating them?

I don't favour any companies...if it's encourages more people to use GPRS/EDGE/3G it will be good for South Africans....but seemingly Tahir doesn't see the bigger picture and would rather slate a company for actually bringing down it GPRS rates.

Here are MTN NEW DATA RATES:10megs-R10 out of bundels R2a meg,100 megs R100 out of bundels R1.50 a meg and 1 Gig R500 out of bundels R1.25 a meg.....I know MTN 10 meg is cheap but when you go out of MTN bundels they are expensive.I will show you now if you go over by 50 megs on MTN 100 bundel you will pay R175 where as Voda has a package for 150meg for only R149.MTN screws you by R25.If you do 2 megs with MTN it will cost you R1750 with Voda a 2gig will cost you R1198....MTN screws you by R552 . The problem with MTN at the moment is they dont have 9 bundels like Voda.......It just show you MTN did not do they home work properly........Wait for MTN to release there prices tomorrow and when you work it out like what i done you will see MTN is screwing you.On paper MTN sounds cheap but when your bundels are finnished you are SCREWED.Just work it out tomorrow and you will C for yourself and then you can tell me if i am talking CRAP.............Vodacom will always lead others just fail This message was posted from a P900

Instead of bitching about being screwed you should welcome the fact that data rates are being lowered. Not many people, especially those on contract, will jump ship to Vodacom for "cheaper" data rates. This message was posted from a T68i

@ Brix well you don't work for Voda or own a Vodacom store how do you know that customers are not moving from other networks to Vodacom.Vodacom is activating more customers on there network than MTN and Cell C.Voda has the lowest churn rate. Why? Because Vodacom is always the 1st in everything and good customer care.I know previously on this forum you said Vodacom has the best customer service.Well i got news for you from this year May,Vodacom Customer care will be even better.Vodacom SP and Vodacom the network will be one entity........In the PIPE LINE i know KBR786 is going to go mad when he sees this VODACOM IS GOING TO LAUNCH DATA BUNDLES VOUCHERS FOR PREPAID AND TOP UP CUSTOMERS.......Voda launched SMS bundels for prepaid customers in DEC 04 till now MTN did notting and they charge you for delivery reports. Our MMS is 80 cents for 100KB MTN is R2 for 5kb..........People might callme MTN basher but these are FACTS This message was posted from a P900

@Tahir:LOL...I never bashed any company but then again I don't have a vested interest... you own a Vodacom shop and It's your business to trash MTN. I'd like to networks offer unlimited GPRS(wap) for a standard fee. This message was posted from a T68i

@Brix i did not say you are a company BASHER i said people will call me a BASHER.Data rates will come down in the near future and get DEAD CHEAP.I can only see a FLAT RATE UNLIMITED USAGE on GPRS in 2-4 years time or maybe it will never come. When other broadband companies have the same blanket coverage like Voda and MTN may then it will happen. The other thing you must think of is MOBILITY This message was posted from a P900

@Rhino Vodacom Customer Care 082111,082114,0821082(all goes to the same place) helps both contract and prepaid customers on anything. With MTN 173 they only help prepaid customers but contracts customers only network problem.I have tested MTN call back systems in both busy and quiet times and they dont call back in the time they promised .Vodacom Customer Care will call you back within 24hrs Guaranteed if not sooner but you must log a Fault and they must give you a ref no.Vodacom call centres quietest time is between 12:00pm to 16:00.MTN has 1 prepaid and the other you must contact your SP.Voda customer care goes to one place so there customer care centre is more busy than MTN plus Vodacom subscriber base is 2 times the size off MTN.Like i said before customer care will be getting better from MAY with Vodacom.Only Vodacom gives you a 2 year warranty on hansets, have more repair centres than MTN.Cell C has 1 repair centre.Only Vodacom has walk in customer care centre. You see VODACARES.
