I also got the feeling, after watching Angliotti being bundled into the back of a ScorpionMobile, that they don't have a very strong case against him. From what i've seen of the Scorpions, they tend to seize shedloads of documents when making such a high profile arrest, yet no mention was made of that happening in this case. Not yet, anyway.

@ Kryptik, which 20GB ipod did you get her? There was the old one, then the one with the click wheel, then the one with a colour display....Yep, think that sums up all the 20GB i-pods....(okay, i have been cheating! i don't follow I-pod lore really. Silly mainstream device as far as i am concerned, but I would not refuse one....I would love to get one of those Special Edition U2 I-pod video.

So why am I not too fond of I-pod? maybe deep down because I have not got one, but it could be the fact that I have had to sort out clients I-pod nano devices, and after days of trying to get the thing to start up, I would have the I-pod WSOD or whatever they call it. But ultimately, the device I had the crap with was rumored to be the bad apple in the basket (get the subtle pun?) lol!

Okay, so about that Jedi religion thing, got a link with an article...and where else other than The Register...

http://www.theregister.com/2006/11/16/jedi_petition/

There are links at the bottom of that page to relating articles, and there are quite a few interesting ones: go check it out!

So I have a picture to post. Took it the other day. It is a little kid of a bunch of people that always sit on this corner in our neighborhood. Don't know if they are homeless, or what they do, but definite poverty present. The kid spends his days around there. This picture was taken early in the morning about 50m from the corner when he walked by me alone, just back from a salvage mission. The area is across from a primary school, lots of cars in this street dropping off kids.

He is so cute! But my heart also breaks for him. it is not a way to grow up.

As much as I like my music, I've never bought a dedicated mp3 player, as I have no need for one.
I fitted the car with a new head unit which has a USB slot for memory sticks and a memory card slot, so there's no changing CD's required.
If I used public transport to commute back and forth to work, it would be a different matter.

It's the click wheel variety which i got her, Francois. Cute little gadget. And i was happy to let it be until Xmas... until i started mucking about with it, just to see if the previous owner had left any music on it. Spent nearly three hours listening to Babyface and Bob Marley, amongst others.

EDIT-Just passed that meerkat in the mall, doing some promotional thing in front of a Voda outlet, very nearly kicked him in the unmentionables too. Luckily i discovered in time that there was a girl inside the meerkat suit and i wasn't about to check whether she has any unmentionables worth kicking

I heard a report on the radio that George and Andrew were going to team up to do a Wham revival concert. The presenter jokingly referred to their song as "Wake Me Up When They Go-Go"

I haven't been able to work up the courage to find out if that rumour is true... I can just picture it, "mature" women hurling their undies onto the stage

LOL, I think George Michael wouldn't mind a few undies from some 'mature' men either... ;-)

It's a stunning day here; blue skies abound in late November?! It's still very 'fresh' outside though...
Makes a pleasant change from all the November Rain (makes me think of that old Guns n' Roses song...) we had this past week.

After surfing the net and getting the best possible price from UK music shops, I bought Mrs Amawanqa's Christmas pressie (and birthday, anniversary etc... all in one with this pressie!), which is a full piano-size 88-key (7.25 octaves) Yamaha DGX-520 keyboard.
It arrived this morning.
I had to let her know that I'm getting it for her (she's been after one for some time for her 'music studio'), as I wouldn't have a cooking clue as to what features would be needed for music lessons, apart from the PC-links with software etc. It would've also been a mission to hide the thing; the box could be used as a 'doodskis!'

Had a very hectic week at work, so we plan to just chill this weekend...although I've got a pile of paperwork waiting for me...will see if I can motivate myself tomorrow afternoon...somehow...
