Just bought and iphone 3gs 16gb! I'm super happy with it. I made the mistake of buying a milestone but luckily I'm away from the 'mess' that is android after I've sold it. iPhone all the way, the others don't compare.

I'm usually labelled an iPhone fanboy around here... and it's a fair enough comment. My (now old) iPhone 3G is the best phone I ever had, and I wouldn't swap it for anything other than another iPhone. Even now - two months away from my contract being up - I've no plans to change it at all, and struggle to justify signing up to another contract to upgrade TBH.
I'll certainly be keeping it until the next one is out, and who knows, I might still keep it even then. And that is NOT like me at all!
