Right, OK! I'm fed up now!
I've been reading through this thread from the beginning the last few days, I'm up to post460! That's 93 pages on my P9, seen lots of nice pics but I'm tired now!
I am only trying to find out if this lovely little (& by God it is little) phone lets u choose ur own message tones?
I've seen it asked several times as I was looking but nobody seemed to ever answer.
SO.....a definitive answer please
(and that means without the words 'I think' or 'probably'!)

Seriously?
Well that is extremely disappointing. Why the hell not?
Is that for sure or just not in the prototype?

No and No.
To be honest, the option of being able to customise my SMS received tone isnt such a major drawback, in fact, i kind of like the preloaded SMS tones included with the T610, better than the horrible Nokia S-O-S beep.

That nokia tone is sms not sos and yes it sucks so much. Also the other nokia tone, you know the common one really annoys me. Its really make me laugh to hear the polyphonic version. Whats the point. Getting excited now though

Yes they are OK & definately better than that Nokia tone (which is morse code for SMS not SOS by the way

)
BUT it's an un-necessary limitation. Once u've had the fun of WAV/MP3 & so ANYTHING u want as ur message tones nothing else comes close!
I can't see why they don't allow it. U can choose ur own ringtone, set personal ringtones even choose ur own alarm tone for God's sake so why not for messages
Don't get me wrong it doesn't make it a bad phone it's just frustrating! Even Nokia let u do it, COME ON

!
