Hitler was almost assassinated by a bomb by one of his own generals. Just minutes, possibly seconds before it was to explode, and unknowing Nazi picked up the bag with the bomb in it from Hitler’s feet and placed it a few feet away behind the heavy oak leg of the table Hitler was sitting at. He survived.

Miracle or coincidence?

Coincidence of course! (imho) And as for the article i posted, i am sure its just a coincidence too! (but who knows! ) But there is no harm in believing it was a miracle if people feel happy about it. Is there?

No offense PK but people have been ebaying images of jesus on toasted cheese sandwiches. "Signs" appear everywhere if people are going to go out of their way to look for them. (Take the people with the signs of stigmata for example)

True, i was just showing Islamic Miracles. Why aren't other faiths here showing their religious miracles, they are welcome to do so.

I too don't believe that those were miracles... Peter_Kay, if you believe these Good things to be acts of God, then surely you have to believe the Bad things are acts of God also, e.g. Hundreds dieing in stampedes and fires etc. in the journey to Makkah… You can’t pick and choose unlikely events and put one down to bad luck and the other down to the mercy of God. (Although, God is VERY merciful, and could have intervened – but I don’t believe it).

I believe that there are very few real miracles today because of the lack of faith. Jesus said if we have faith the size of a mustard seed, we could move mountains…

Well, that’s my take on things anyway…

New topic- what do you all think of Scientology?

I do believe that Bad things are acts of God too, i never said they aren't! Everything is done by Gods will, as the Quran says "Not a leaf doth move but with his knowledge" . He is the Creator and the Sustainer and to him is our fnal return. He forgives whom he wishes and he punishes who he wishes - This universe belongs to him and he is the greatest.

Chapter 59 Verses 21-24 from The Final Revelation states:

Had We sent down this Quran on a mountain, verily, thou wouldst have seen it humble itself and cleave asunder for fear of Allah. Such are the similitudes which We propound to men, that they may reflect.

Allah is He, than Whom there is no other god, Who knows all things both secret and open; He, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.

Allah is He, than Whom there is no other god - the Sovereign, the Holy One, the Source of Peace and Perfection, the Guardian of Faith, the Preserver of Safety, the Exalted in Might, the Irresistible, the Supreme: Glory to Allah. High is He above the partners they attribute to Him.

He is Allah, the Creator, the Evolver, the Bestower of Forms or Colours. To Him belong the Most Beautiful Names: whatever is in the heavens and on earth, doth declare His Praises and Glory: and He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise.

@Peter

Actually it is rather interesting to consider what a miracle is. As a Taoist I don't really believe in what you may think of as being a miracle. I do believe in miraculous events, but for me they are not caused by a divine being, but by the innate power of the Tao, which flows in all of us. Someone smiling and being uplifted is as much a miracle to me as someone being healed of cancer. I believe that each and everyone one of us have the innate ability to perform miracles.
