TOKYO — Sony said on Wednesday that its board was considering a proposal from a U.S.-based hedge fund to spin off part of its entertainment business, but stressed that those discussions were preliminary and that the company had set no timetable for a response.

Manual controls would be nice. I doubt that they will add physial buttons. I think its just this - you can manually set aperture,iso etc in software.
Nice2have option would be RAW images

My T is acting weird and I am thinking to either wait for honami/phablet or get s4. I hope some one could share more info on the software development. Will they get serious about it? Last I heard here, was that Sony was planning to hire more software developers. Have they finally hired more guys yet? I am very concerned about this, because I am tired of half baked updates from sony.

I just hope they allow RAW output and at least manual setting within the software! Could careless for the hardware control, minus the shutter button. The shutter button is a must!

Hardware buttons are not feasible if Honami is to have ~14mm thickness, RAW capture on the other hand would be a sweet deal, It'll serve as a metric to determine how good its sensor deals with noise
One thing though, Sony please bring back the shutter release button complete with backlighting!
