Yup. Can't wait for the official specs. Then I can finally look at all of this objectively and make my decision.

was just kidding..
there is still a lot of things about paris that needs to be cleared out... but most of them are software (or hardware) based... that we will never know untill it's annoncment.. and seeing the official spec sheet.

.
and you're right... just wanting something will not give you anything.!!
I know, I just saw an opportunity to quote one of my favorite songs of all time. I should thank you for that.

I would like to know too
I also wanted to ask the same question, and I don't believe it's a screen protector. In my opinion, it's too thick to be, and it seems to be built-in stuff.
Fake mobile pictured?
I think you are getting hung up on the term "screen protector." Its not an aftermarket screen protector that you buy to protect the screen during use. It is what SE includes in the packaging to protect the screen during shipping. Its meant to be removed before you start using the phone. All phones are shipped with these plastic sheets.
In fact, seeing this makes the validity of these pictures that much more convincing and makes me believe this is a unit that SE actually put in a box ready to be sold or shipped to someone.
It can be a reflection.

Guys,
it's clearly plastic sheet over the whole front, besides keys.

How can anyone be dumb enough to think SE would just have a bump on the screen area lol. It would be MORE difficult to manufacture that way, and whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy?
Paris looks immense. Its all about specs, UI, and delivering the quality it promises, now.
Also, the back looks to be all plastic Im afraid

. If you look at the side of the phone, you can see the line that divides the metal sections from the plastic plating. Seems like they spent more time designing the front of the phone than they did the back. But given that nothing is official yet, I hope they change it somehow.
VGA is crucial now. If you put a 2.8" VGA screen next to a 2.8" QVGA screen, you will really see the difference in resolution. QVGA is no longer future-proof.

That's definitely the plastic protector film that comes on all phones.
@ ares
that's GREAT news! So as expected, it will release in september. Just in time for my birthday. I just hope that the specs are all that we've been expecting because a tri-band gsm and single/dual band HSPDA would suck as I could never justify spending so much on a phone I couldn't fully utilize in the states.
Carl zeiss lens sounds awesome! I can't wait to see sample shots and read the full spec sheet. The announcement is inevitable now! I sure hope they put the metal backing on the production models because the plastic backing does look a bit tacky with such a nice front.
