I've had the phone about a week or so now and I'm getting used to it. a few things I'd like to know if anyone else has experience and what can be done.
1. Silver staring to come off the middle of the main select button. presumably I must use my thumb nail to press it (I haven't got long nails though!)
2. When I add music, all the contact ring tones I set default back to the main ring tone and I have to set them again.
3. same with contact pictures When pictures are added.
4. The calls list doesn't show date or times
Anyone???
Alye
Edited because I forgot point 4

I've had mine for 4 days now.
Regarding your point number 4. the only call list entries without time is when i removed the sim card. which is something normal.
Beside that i can't complain. The fone is so on point.

doh!
my phone just DIED today. Was playing Sudoku java game on it (as i usually do now and then) and the phone just froze; screen became a hazy blue, all keypad lights on, all buttons non-responsive
left it in that state for 10min before removing batt. Now, can't restart phone, can't charge, can't even be detected by pc
any ideas besides sending back to SE??

I've had mine for a month now no issues with any build quality at all ( I have the Espresso black)
As regards to stuff resetting to default, do you store all your ringtones and pictures on your mem card? And do you use a mem card reader to add stuff to it hence removing your card from the phone? If you are doing this then it is perfectly normal for the phone to reset tones and pictures to default because it cant read from the card when you remove it.
I normally store all my ring tones and pictures on the phone memory so as to avoid this happening.
Also when you transfer stuff to your mem card and set them as wall paper or ringtones and then go and move them to the phone memory you have to reset them as the phone no longer reads them as set.

I've had the phone almost 2 weeks now. So far so good.
As the screen is plastic I'd like to get some sort of protective clear case for it/
Does anyone have any suggestions?

I guess a screen protector will fall off. Something like an invisible shield of silicon case sounds good! Where would I find something like that tailored for the W890i?

Just got the W890i as an exchange from Orange due to network issues with my N95. Although it does not have the features of the N95, it still seems to be a good little phone. Already have the K850i and many other SE phones, so was not after anything too flash but the size and build seem to be very good. Screen could do with been a bit better, a little hard to see in bright light, Nokia seem to have this issue sorted or at least I think so anyway. Still it is a good little phone, will see how it performs over the next few weeks, and see if I made the right choice. It is very similar to my T650i except the build quality seems to be allot better, add to that the FM radio and the HSDPA and it is an improvement on the T650i. Not really tried sound quality yet, but will try it out and see how good it is.
