Hi everyone. I am just looking for some advice regarding jailbreaking. Normally I am quite comfortable with this but due to apple no longer signing 3.1.2 I need to be sure of this process. Basically I have a 3gs with the old boot rom which is currently jailbroken via blackra1n and unlocked. However cydia is no longer launching and all my free memory has bee n used up from tryingto install a game.( it kept being unpacked but never installed properly). Because of this and just to clear up m phone for optimum performance I want to restore my phone and then re jailbreak. I know my shsh is stored on cydia for 3.1.2 so I should be able to restore to 3.1.2 but I am unsure of this process could anyone details exactly how I should do this. ( I may have already changed the location that iTunes checks for
approval to sauriks servers but I am not sure so would like this detailed if you know how)
thanks very much for any help u can provide. I just don't want to tak any risks as I accidentally restored to 3.1.2 previosly before blackra1n was available and couldn't use my phone for nearly a month

My 3G has unactivated itself, I really rather not restore it, as it is jailbroken with too many play counts, notes, texts, calls, calendar entries and apps on it!
Any ideas?

Is it me or has the bing application been removed from
the app store? I can't find it.

anyone bought the tomtom carkit for the Iphone? How do they find it? Do you recommend it? Is the tomtom app any good? Are they both worth the price?

yeah, I have the car kit and it works fairly well, but its not worth the money given that its £100 and doesn't even include the app.
The app is worth the price, especially at the moment when western europe is reduced to £52.99
There's a new version of the app (1.3) about to come out too which includes real-time traffic speed and incident reports for more accurate routing and travel time estimates as well as a local search feature

masseur would you recommend a standalone device instead? one of the reasons i was looking at this, was the ability to automatically answer calls when it comes through, is that feature any good?
