I hope someone can help me. I recently installed fma and while it connects fine it losses contact with my T68i (lost signal) when I use it to run Winamp2. Another quark is that if i choose a song on the phone's playlist, a different song starts to play. Finally, it seems when I have fma loaded and running, it stops XP-pro from shuting down (reports it as an unresponsive program). Any one with ideas please help me out . Thanks in advance.

Hey fma is a such a good program! I've tried using many different programs to control my pc via bt from my t68i. Most work to some degree and FMA does most of what it claims to. However, problems came about when I tried to operate winamp2. The playlist desplayed on the phone did not match the playlist on winamp. ie...I pick a song off the phone and a different song plays. Also, I keep losing connection because it keeps losing the signal from the phone. This only happens when I use FMA and only when I run Winamp. Finally, fma hangs on shut down of my xp. It forces me to manually shut down fma. Also, Float...is there a step by step setup guide and where can I find it? Thanks.

Hi,
I was just trying to use fMA soft to backup my Z600. So several questions arised:
1 - Is Z600 (partly) supported, since T610 is?
2 - Is MSI BT dongle suported (6797 i think)?
I opened a bt serial port in COM3, but when trying to connect to the phone with fMA it kept telling me "Access is denied" (is it because the com port is already being used somehow?)
Anyone successfull with this config?
Anyone who can lead me to connect fMA to Z600?
Thanks in advance.

No problems here with FMA and Z600.
Make sure that FMA connects via a (BlueTooth) COM port that is NOT in use for XTNDConnect or any other application (you can configure port for XTNDConnect in Phone Monitor).

XTND is not an issue since i even don't have it installed...
@Vlamm
This is what i'm doing (after sucessfully paired phone with PC):
1 - Turn on BT on Z600.
2 - In Windows explorer check Z600 icon (located in My Bluetooth Places --> Entire Bluetooth neighborhood --> Z600(or name of the phone). If the phone was already sucessfully paired you should see a "v" mark on the top-left of the icon.
3 - Right click on Z600 icon and select Connect Serial Port 1.
4 - Info should appear of what (virtual) COM port is being used (in my case COM8) and the icon should turn green.
5 - Then i try to use that port on fMA, but it doesn't work.
In fMA Options i have the following settings:
Use Serial Port: checked
port: COM8
baud: 115200 (Please don't tell me to change speed settings, cause i've tried everyone of them)
RTS: Enabled
DTR: Disabled
The error is: "Can't open specified device COM8 (Error 5, Access is denied)"

same story, except my error is 'connection failed. an error log is created' and the program (fma) shuts itself down

Paiting alone is sometimes not enough, you have to make the phone and the PC trust each other.
Right-click the BlueTooth icon in your system tray.
Select "Explore my BlueTooth places"
Right-click the icon for your Z600
Select "Properties", then select the tab "Authorization"
Check the toggle box for "BlueTooth Serial Port"
Enable BlueTooth on both PC and Z600
Right-click BlueTooth icon in system tray
Select Quick Connect -> BlueTooth Serial Port -> Z600
Make sure the PC connects to the phone (BlueTooth icon goes green)
Start FMA
Configure FMA to use the COM port your Z600 is connected to
Close FMA
Start FMA
Connect ...
If you still have no succes, then unpair and re-pair PC and phone. Be careful to watch both devices for dialogs that require user interaction (so open that clamshell!)
There are better troubleshooting guides than this around, but this works for me.
