I would like to do it, but I need to get all the required gadgets like cables and stuff I might be doing it this month.

I still think SE Original is great ! ! !

Buy a DSS-25 sync station, buy a credit and you are done. There is no mystery to this. There are threads. Assuming you have the cash, you can get everything done in less than an hour.

I have acquired a brand new V800, to use with a sim only Vodafone deal I get from their website. I ecided to get it debranded, mainly because of the MP3/DRM issue. The actual Vodaofne branding didn't bother me, in itself. Problem is now, when I go to the Vodafone Live! portal, I can't see any pictures, just text links. Also I can't access links to videos, so no football highlights and no access to Vodafone/SKY TV. Of those who've debranded, has this been an issue? If so, how did you resolve the problem?

TIA.

Will bump, just once, to see if anyone can help with the problem? Wouldn't mind some help if anyone can? TIA.

When you debrand a phone you lose all the preinstalled network settings such as those for Vodafone Live! In NZ, VF are reluctant to give them back to you. Beware - debranding can put you on the wrong side of your network operator.

I went with my V800 to a SonyEricsson store (who Vodafone told me to go to when my phone had a few bugs) and they updated the fw to some newer stuff that isn't availible on the SE homepage.. and after that I can use all my mp3s as ringtunes and all drm-stuff is gone.. and it's still Vodabranded... just without the crap! :)

Costed me about 17 euros since I paid extra to get it done in 1 hour.

Otherwise it had take a day but be free.. (8 euro for a "loanphone".)
:)

Does anybody know how to resolve the camera issue? I just got this phone and whenever I goto the camera option, it just lights the screen up in some random color and doesn't work.

I'm running the Z800 firmware.
