@786KBR: Also played around with a German colleague's T-Mobile branded E61 the other day and I agree that screen is massive although it's broad form factor is something one will have get used to.

Have to agree there; a very capable business-orientated tool, no doubt, but I'd personally prefer something less PDA-wide, even if it meant more girth like the P990i, for example.

@Kryptik
Thanks for the advice, I like your dad's little saying, it's pretty cool.
First day's gone great, and the best thing, we leave at 1 on fridays!!! YAY!

@francoislr
I dunno if i like virgin. I could probably pay the phone off but my money is kinda tied up in paying off a loan for the first 4 months.
Gonna have to shop around for options and see what i can do.

@786KBR
The E61 is hideous!! what's it like otherwise?

OOH look, hometime!!;)!

Unfortunately we do not have a cellular service provider called Slut yet...although Vodacom & MTN are battling it out for that name....Vodacom will surely once again excel in this competition, was it not for Telkom...

It is kinda a hard one. Just take the following piece of advice:
"Don't rush into anything, but also, don't be too careful." - A few Amstel Lagers mixed with a double Gin and Dry Lemon.

@ Kitsune,
Knock off at 1 on a Friday?! You lucky bugger!
BTW, I'm not too surprised about the chick's name not appearing on the staffing; a lot can happen in a decade. (I'm feeling old now...)

Well videos play in full screen and is very clear!! I used the phone last night but mainly used mxit, if the phone was made for any reason it would be for mxit!!!
Still gonna play with the other features, although its gonna stay in my room, dont have space to carry it around.

My colleauge just opened his HTC mTeor, I was blown away with the look and feel of the phone,SOLID as solid can be!! Little heavy to, and no real features apart from WM5, but feels and looks nice, thin too.

Eish, tell me about it, boet... Met one of my former learners at the hospital, sporting a stethoscope around his neck. I thought he was doing his housemanship until he mentioned that he had finished his degree nearly 5years ago. 'Twas a brittle smile i gave him

@KBR, how does the processor on the Nokia perform? Have you tried any of those exhaustive tests which you mentioned performing on the SE?

@-Kitsune-, thanks for the info on the difference between using http and socket. As for the character limit on Opera Mini, in case any of you are interested, I've found out from the Opera Mini 3.0 thread that on the K750, there's a character limit of 450. I'm disappointed to say the least.

Kryptik bro, Chem was bad, but I saw it coming. Anyhow, it's finally over! I'm overjoyed, it's a huge relief. There's a major IT exhibition this weekend and I'm going down to check out the latest tech toys. Will post here if I see anything worth mentioning. I'll be starting work on Monday, doing a little part-time work this vacation. I'll be back at Sony Gallery, so I hope I'll be seeing some new Sony products there.

@ da brixsta,
I see the Pietersen saga continues:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/cricket/6198644.stm

The tabloid-craving, sensationalising hero-worshippers here have also latched onto KP's on and off the pitch exploits... even the bloody electricity and gas supplier that we use, NPower, has a big Ashes promotion on the go called 'Fire Them Up', featuring him, and this free download...Pietersen striking a Terminator pose from the famous Terminator trilogy's intro scene,on a cricket pitch:

"The Power behind England" ... is a controversial SA ex-pat... LOL.

Hard luck for The Proteas tonight with that Twenty20 match in Jozi.

Today I've been a bad man. I won't go into to much detail as all you guys and two girls might just start too judge me.

@da wanqsta: Like Rathbone, Kevin Pietersen will soon be forgotten.

KP is not a South African even though his Seth Effrikan roots are always played up by the media...he made his choice to don the Three Lions and most people respect him for that.

What South Africans have a problem with is his victim mentality...Like I said before, research will show that when he played for Natal B back in the day he was but an average white player...the stats don't lie- pity i don't have a link. From all reports he was nothing spectacular.

Ever heard him mention that he scored three back-to-back hundreds for his provincial side? No, because he didn't and was mostly in the team as a bowler.

Please KP, leave South Africa alone...you need to concentrate on retaining the Ashes for England.
