here's a snippet of my bill
Monthly Charges
Itemised billing 3.00
Monthly Subscription 138.00
141.00
Usage Charges
Local/Trunk (Mobile) Calls 28.17
International Calls 107.90
Data Calls & Services 12.79
148.86
Advantage Savings
Stay -10.00
Pay : Prompt Pymt -5.00
Call -10.00
-25.00
Discount & Rebates
Inclusive Talktime -148.86
-148.86
Service Tax (5%)
Access fee 6.95
Usage Charges 0.00
6.95
Total Line Charges 122.95
big mistake on my part
rm138 does not include the 5% service tax ON THE access fee (rm138 x 5% = rm6.95) not the access fee itself as i mentioned earlier
on the rm148.86 usage charges being waived instead of rm138.00:
unused credit from april = 16.09
credit for may = 138.00
total credit available = 138.00 + 16.09 = 154.09
may usage = 148.86
credit brought fwd = 154.09 - 148.86 = 5.23 (max = 138.00)
i used to be on hotlink where i would chalk up aroud 200++ a month!!!
when i switched over to package138 (formerly mstyle3)
my average usage charges went to around 80 a month
which meant i got to spend a whole lot more time yakking
(luckily at that time they offered a maximum rollover amount of rm414.00)
HUGE amount of savings eh?

do u think it's better to go sign up at a shop or somethin?! some shops i asked numbers at said they can waive the rm50 connection fee for me and stuff like that...
i think if i go to maxis directly... they might charge me this and that and the other upon registering...
