For those using the thin text xml file...

Thank-you again to those who created it - well done!

However, I've found a pretty big glitch, in that the calendar month view no longer differentiates appointment days above non-appointment days with bold text. All dates are the same style typeface.

@ Phantom - is there any simple way to rectify this problem in xml, as I love the thin text, but find this a pretty big issue considering my dependency on a simply-to-use Calendar. Cheers!

Code:
<objct name="MonthView">
<settings>
<sett name="FontType" value="FontE_14R"/>
<sett name="RowHeight" value="16"/>
<sett name="TopOffset" value="2"/>
<sett name="TitleFontType" value="FontE_20R"/>
<sett name="TitleHeight" value="52"/>
<sett name="TitleTopOffset" value="6"/>
<sett name="TitleMode" value="2"/>
<sett name="YPos" value="254"/>
</settings>
<settings layout="1">
<sett name="TitleFontType" value="FontE_16R"/>
<sett name="TitleHeight" value="255"/>
<sett name="TitleTopOffset" value="5"/>
</settings>
<attributes count="9">
<attr index="0" value="1"/> <!-- Show week -->
<attr index="1" value="4"/> <!-- Title date format -->
<attr index="2" value="FontE_14R"/> <!-- Occ.font -->
<attr index="3" value="FontE_14R"/> <!-- China font -->
<attr index="4" value="2"/> <!-- Title text align -->
<attr index="5" value="255"/> <!-- Day nbr font -->
<attr index="6" value="255"/> <!-- Day grid hight -->
<attr index="7" value="1"/> <!-- Day nbr top offs -->
<attr index="8" value="0"/> <!-- Icon right offset -->
</attributes>

Code:<attr index="2" value="FontE_14R"/> <!-- Occ.font -->

try this line... make it FontE_14B
theory: its the Occassion Font...

Hats off to you, rocky!

I'm impressed that someone can come back with a solution so quickly!

I would have tried to have a look myself but had to have dinner so thought I'd try my luck posting.

Great work.

PS: I would also like to note that I find that the underline/mark located under the opporator logo reappears if you drop out of reception (when the screen would be displaying 'No network coverage' or otherwise rather than the opporater name). Strange!

and about this one. uummm i guess its the firmwares reaction when you disregard the operator logo in the layout.xml
its the NULL interpretation i guess... hehe but then again.. lazyness has struck me...

Yeah it worked like a charm. Lucky fluke!

I work with HTML as well, so I would have dug my way down to that eventually no doubt, I just didn't have the audacity tonight!

EDIT: My comment a few posts back about the menu highlight image being slightly off kilter with the text it is supposed to highlight, is not due to the thinner text mod at all, but more the fact that in the xml files uploaded here with the mod - the menu bar has been disabled.

It seems that the highlight image automatically aligns itself to centre, and with the scrollbar removed, it re-adjusts, shifting a couple of pixels to the right and partially filling the gap where the scrollbar once was.

Re-enabling the menu bar sorts this alignment issue out dandy. To do so:

Ensure the value next to 'ScrollBarMode' equals 2.

Code:
<objct name="ListObject">
<settings>
<sett name="TitleMode" value="255"/>
<sett name="ScrollBarMode" value="2"/>

Edit2: Sorry I forgot to put that in code earlier!

@max_wedge

I'm sure I read somewhere that the latest firmware caused a few problems with picture quality etc. Is this the case do you know?

Cheers
