I wouldn't want it with Windows Mobile 7 honestly. WM7 uses much more power than W6 - it's obvious: the sensors of the phone will always be on in order to understand shake gestures. Sony Ericsson phones as of currently require some user activation to turn on the sensors. For instance, when fast fowarding songs on the Walkman, one must press and hold the Walkman button before shaking.

Hmmm. . . Nice TyTN clone. Let's hope, SE will do better then with the P990i. Just as much hype thou. Why anounce a device at the begin of '08 if it only comes out at Christmas

But then again, this is SE. I think HTC and the rest won't 'just sit around' for a year. Ofcourse Micro$$oft is the big winner - they are known for charging very high licence fees

I still think the S60 (shortly with touch-screen) is a better option. At least Nokia's fees aren't so high.Ask Samsung and even LG

because it's a flagship... flagship phones always tend to be all in one
@mario:
regarding the silly "TyTn clone" thingy
anyway why did you say it's a TyTn clone? does X1 shares similar things with TyTn besides the sliding mechanism is a thing X1 shares with TyTn. i can't see any similarities after that

not to say X1 is slimmer and lighter than any TyTn around
assuming that your thoughts are right, then we should also call toshiba G900 a TyTn clone as well

Xperia X1 is only a MARKETING move (smart IMO)... please get that.
It is like the adopted brother in the

family (not saying there is anything wrong with being adopted) :
- No Sony M2 support
- No Cybershot camera
- No Walkman music player
- No Bravia screen
- No Fastport connector
- No shake me or sense me or accelerometer, etc..
The only thing that makes me recongnize it is a

phone is the fact that 8 months will have to go by between announcement and release, and ok, maybe the arc sliding design as well, coz i usually like SE's designs (but i think there was already a slider in an arc shape, right? the banana phone from moto remember?)
cheers.... still waiting for the P5i and the new FW for my great k850i.
I

SE...but i like to keep it real.

SE is a traitor

finally succumbing to the temptation of the big bad innovation retard M.S. SE fans can happily wait for the X1 with its bloatware needing twice the cpu and battery power to do the same job.
On the flipside, it maybe a good thing as if you are small, options are limited so it may not be too bad to sleep with the big bad wolf since you have nothing much to lose.
