@Beatrix
Yup worldmate does not update using the Globe's free apn. You need to use the paid one. It's just about 27kb. roughly 5 to 6 pesos.
@Ferr
Tama naman ang World Mate... It's been raining everyday especially during the afternoon.
BTW, I recommend you guys to use images to enhance your SMS (not MMS) to make things more fun. Just insert an object when writing an SMS. Although the maximum characters might decrease depending on the size of the pic. My girlfriend (using a samsung V200) and I have been sending enhanced SMS (EMS?) ever since the discovery. It should also work with a t68. Anyone tested this on a Nokia?

@xerx- yup, lumalabas yun Earth icon for GPRS, pero ang ginagamit nyang connection eh yun sa cradle.. which utilizes your PC connection to the net. you can simply tap the icon, disconnect it, and it will still update as long as nasa cradle sya..
@jomni- i do use EMS, especially the animations when SMSing my gf.

yah, it brings more life to the message.

that's EMS. Nokia never supported EMS (they had their proprietary picture messaging instead) but other phone manufacturers (like Siemens) supports EMS too.
(Interestingly, some SE phones has limited support for nokia's picture messaging system - like the t39, t68, etc.)

For those of you who have just discovered the beauty of EMS... here's another tip...
send ANIMATION attachments... rather than pictures... animations take up less space since the animation itself isn't sent... EMS standards dictate that certain emotion animations are stored in the phone... thus when you attach an animation, all you actually send is instructions on which animation or sound to play. Although it will differ from phone to phone...even between SEs... slight variations... the "happy" animation with the bouncing smiley face... on one

phone, the face bounces up and down, on another it bounces in a semi circle.
But the point is, you can get a lot more across if you use animations and sounds rather than pictures (WBMP or GIF) attachments... UNLESS, you make your own pictures.
I make my own pics sometimes...my signature...or a small handwritten note...
