I think thats a pretty stupid idea. I can see why it would be helpful to some people (especially the intellectually challenged or technophobes), but id rather have the whole keypad light up.

I hope K750 either does not do this, or has the option to choose whether to have only the keys you need light up or not.

i hav to disagree... its really cool man!! think about it, every light is integrated into the system, every light is link for its purpose, its no longer just to light up the keypad, tats the thing of the past... software & hardware acting as an user interface man to think about it, its a thing of the future!! It would be cool, it some1 calls the keypad lights will do some light effects... or just light up the keypads tat have the lettering of the callers name... or form a symbol.. man its so cool!!

...soo what your saying is that we still have the option to have every single one light up?.. as i agree with etaab.. this is stupid unless we have a choice.

In its effect yes, its cool.

But when i use my phone, i want to see the whole keypad. I do not wish to be tutored on how to use the phone everytime i pick it up.

Also, if i press the wrong key, good for me, since ive made a simple human error of which i can be proud of. By integrating such a feature into the phone, companies are now removing our freedom even to make such simple errors.

Before we know it, phone companies will be controlling us, not us controlling their products.

Im sure after a few days (or months depending on IQ) of ownership, you'll know how to unlock the keypad so such a function would be unecessary.

aw come on guys.. ur thinking in the box.. i know wat yall thinkin.. but come on... if u press the wrong key.. its the same thing... coz nothing happens... and further more... i think SE would have already thought of lighting the whole keypad if needed.. e.g inputing text for sms, numbers for new contact, obviously the whole keypad will light up. But i have to agree with ya for one thing, having the options to on/off these feature... as obviously u guys are not into it. Im not surprised IF there IS light effects if some1 calls... hehe...

But im not 5 years old, i do not need lights to tutor me on how to unlock the keypad.

If SE and companies were to integrate this feature into all phones im sure it would annoy many people - especially phones like the P910i, aimed at the business user yet made "child friendly" with predictive lights.

This feature reminds me of toy my neice has, where she has to spell things by typing them into a keypad. It lights up only the keys she needs.
