What about the Jolla idea but instead, you have a generic front display and main body but a back plate with a choice of hardware i.e. extended battery, keyboard, extra zoom lens, joypad etc. I like the concept of choice but if you're not that ambitious then have different content and software themes like music or work. If that is too far ahead then something simple like the Microsoft Surface keyboard that easily clips on and will change the theme depending on the colour, any type of enhancement.
I do love about Jolla that will make good matches
Which Sony will have capable and intuitive OS
To exclusively distribute their own media contents, source that Jolla severely lacking.
but unfortunately having hard time with services like Google Maps and GMail for example.
would be good if Nokia give licenses Here Maps for Jolla team.
Damn unfortunately those won't happen in reality anytime soon.

OT
The exynos 5 octa is just a gimmick. It doesn't boost battery life like Samsung claimed. The snapdragon 600 version has better battery than the exynos 5 octa

I have a feeling after Honami and Nokia's EOS are released the market hype will be diverted away from getting fast SoCs to having the best camera tech, just like the old days.real life performance gains from new chips wre hardly noticeable nowadays despite how awesome they are when looked upon the spec sheet. to be honest I didn't even feel the Xperia S's ancient chip to have aged that much to the point where the best android games I could get from the playstore were unplayable, what's more even some new Vita titles have superior visuals(and gameplay) than what android has to offer despite the Vita having more or less half the processing power that the top of the line chips we can see from smartphones are capable of.
But it's just my 2 cents worth

True razec, but do Apple, Samsung and HTC have the potential to compete with Nokia and Sony in terms of Camera in the short term ?
Samsung sensors are pathetic and HTC have never been known for good camera.
The situation after EOS/Honami will be different as both of those use exclusive sensors so other companies cannot simply just buy the sensor and fit into their phones and optimize it.

Well 8 years ago the cameraphone supremacy was all about Nokia and

and that's where most of the technophiles gathered, Apple does not care about having the best camera anyway, it had its own selling points among users. to support that fact iPhones remained one of the most popular imaging device among casual photographers despite the appearance of superior breed of cameraphones like 808PV. Apple need not to worry about the possible trend shift just as how they never cared about competing into SoC performance supremacy.
I could care less about Samsung, but I have to admit they're capable of producing their sensors, possibly we might even see their answer to Honami's camera, I always think of Samsung as a company that makes "alternative" (i don't want to derogatory term "copycat" as a form of respect) products, taking look at their NX series which were obviously their "flattering" answer to Sony NEX. as for imaging performance we'll still have to guess (for now) if they could trump Honami's "rumored" imaging prowess. however if we take into account their performance in the MILCs and Enthusiast compacts it's true that their sensor and processing algorithm lagged behind Sony and Canon which are the only two Japanese Imaging companies that develop/produce their own image sensor. (EDIT: I forgot Panasonic, Fujifilm and Olympus?)
