I have a very bad problem on my X10. When I open application z4root there are two options, temporary root and permannt root. I click on any of the options nothing really happens. The application closes down and back to normal.
When I connect USB to PC, the PC does not detect.
Edit: nor the phone says that it's connected to USB.
Any idea?

@Indiandawg z4root doesn't work for any of the 2.1 FW bar the first release. Use
this instead. Dead simple, run the tool, click root, connect the phone as it says and wait till it says it's finished. Use that tool to flash original firmwares from any region (they have the global generic dual-touch FW on that first post), install busybox and xrecovery. It can also install JiT and remove crap preinstalled apps.

To anyone with the 2.1.A.0.435 FW, Is the camera any faster?
Doesn't appear to be. Seems to be the same speed. Would have been nice if they'd changed the menu to allow the light to be actived from the camera screen instead of having to go into the settings menu to turn it on!

Thanks Ricky. I did root but I dont know if its rooted. Though my phone was rooted before I guess cause I could do run apps that work under rooted X10. The question is, how do I unroot now lol. I know I've been very confusing but as I said before I want my phone to wipe out everything and become a normal phone where I can send to Sony Ericsson under warranty. I don't want them to tell me that I have VOID my warranty.
Thank you. I really appreciate your help

Can someone tell me what the 4th switch is on the Power Control widget is? It looks like a refresh symbol. Is it something to do with Auto Syncing?
