just hate that you can't easily create playlists in mediascape, otherwise i'd use it more.
you can now make playlists with the new fw

Not sure if it's crappy media scape or what but my album art keeps getting all mixed up. If I put music onto the memory card all the wrong album art appears on the wrong albums & some of it keeps vanishing

I had this when I had my first x10 Black. I am sure it's crappy Media Scrape

sorry scape

I'm liking simple and fast over complex and eye candy.
The FreeX10 ROM Music player has very simple menus of songs, albums and artist but what I like is the Now Playing screen. With the XFX10 theme installed it makes it transparent so your homescreen shows through in the background.
Bono I think you had this Live Wallpaper once on one of your phones.

Yes I did have that one but it tends to make my x10 lag

x10 with some quite heavy live wallpapers slows it down a little. And sometimes when something like the signal meter fluctuates the live wallpaper jerks. Total crap the software in x10 is still rather slow at times

I can never go back to SE's software now I'm afraid. It looks like I'm stuck on FreeX10 2.2 Beta 3 without camcorder for the time been.Theres a Beta 4 available but this phone is now running so smoothly I'm to scared to update it.Going to wait for the final release and then do it.When you visit XDA and read some of the replies left by some of those idiots about this happening and that happening, take it with a pinch of salt.Obviously everyone uses their phones differently and therefore encounter different issues but so far for me its been very stable.Sometime people do things wrong and then are left with a big fat mess.Im not a gamer,I keep things simple when it comes to installing apps and widgets and this thing flies and takes everything I throw at it.Its the speed performance that is the deciding factor for me.There is nothing worse than having a day when your mind is working at a million miles an hour and when you use your phone its not syncing with how fast you want things done.I remember Mediascape.Side swipe..slight pause...transition happens.Used to bug the crap out of me.Glad to be done with that. (is jthere an improvement with that with the new software) Camera..activate..slight pause on black screen...ready to shoot Uuuurgh! On this ROM click the camera hardware key and almost instantaneously its ready for you to shoot.Camcorder will eventually come.

Never-the-less,the X10 is a fantastic phone whatever state it is in. (except Donut 1.6

) I was pretty happy with it on 2.1 Eclair Update 1 even with those few niggles.Still would have kept it till June 2012.
