You, me and hundreds of others all hope you are way off the mark.
The thing is, the only non-smart (feature) phones we have seen spyshots of recently is the G502 and Z780 which are already announced. Most - if not all - of the rest have been smartphones.
Its seems inconceivable to expect no more feature phones will be announced in the coming weeks.

how many phones were announced last year when they gave us the w910/960 and k850 all at ONE conference?
namely there will be phones that we havent seen, potentially being announced sometime in the next 4 months
... seeing as how some of them are speculated for release in sept of 08

The same Qualcomm chip as the X1 would make sense for Paris, given the rumoured specs. However, considering that they are just that, rumours, nothing can be confirmed until announcement.

It was actually planned to reveal the "UIQ4" by the end of this year.
But plans do change very fast these days. Unfortunately I didn't hear much more about
the completely new UIQ version.

Oh okay, cheers. Its really tempting to wait for it, in a way. But still, you'd think that SE would try their best to gloss over the UIQ3.3 interface better than any other we've seen so far.
That would be the only difference between UIQ3.3 and UIQ4 as far as I'm concerned, because if Paris has the Qualcomm chip the X1 has, then the performance of the hardware in most respects is already there.

I thought so. We can't complain though, UIQ 4 right after UIQ 3.3 would be abit rushed. Itll probably need alot of beta testing and all sorts of refining before its properly ready. And even then ,SE will need to get it, tweak it themselves to their own liking, make a phone to put it in, announce it, and release it. Probably H1 2009 will have gone by before all that happens.

The Qualcomm chip sounds amazing--and since it may be the same one as in the X1, it IS amazing. Still, it sounds a little too good to be true...but we shall see. At least we know whatever is used, it will be more powerful than an OMAP2 since that was the old processor used in Bella.

First Symbian 9.4 device is supposed to be shipped in 2008 (UiQ 3.3?)
For Symbian 9.5 no date yet.
So what are we talking about? UiQ4 not even on the horizon.
The FIRST UiQ 3.3 device will appear onn market around September, so....

Yea, but if you see my post before that, I only thought of it because m-one mentioned something about UIQ4 at the end of the year. Now hes clarified that he heard it could be announced then, but it sounds very shaky anyway.
