It's a custom screen by Japan Display West, which = Sony Mobile Displays.
Even though it's all JDI the divisions are still there just like how under Sony electronics you have various divisions - vaio team, xperia team, bravia team. But more importantly, I used Sony because it's not a standard JDI panel but a custom one with some changes done by Sony electronics team that may or may not mean inclusion of Triluminos tech
Which is why the Z display is labelled JDC = Toshiba Mobile display and not JDI

The earliest conference available is CommunicAsia, which is held during June, but I doubt Sony is going to introduce anything this year there. They previously announced Xperia Ray and Active there and Xperia X8 during 2010.

Oh no, it has less pre-order sales than the Xbox One. How much of a system's lifetime sales are made up of pre-order sales? Not a significant proportion is the correct answer if you're wondering.
Its far too early to tell what's going on. We haven't even seen Sony's E3 press conference yet, and neither console is actually out there in stores, for sale.
And why didn't it stand a chance? Because it doesn't have Kinect and its unecessary gimmicks? Because it doesn't have media support (which is bollocks, because it does, just as the PS3 did)? Because it isn't as powerful (which again is bollocks, the PS4 has faster RAM, and a faster GPU)?
What about the new Xbox made the PS4 obsolete?

Sony haven't even revealed the design of the PS4, how do you expect on people to pre-order and buy something that they haven't seen. I'm sorry, but only the hard-core Sony fans pre-ordered the PS4 atm. Bit silly to say PS4 never stood a chance.

Well will the phablet be reading for the unveil there? Maybe but then it might just receive a press release intro and then physical introduction at IFA?

After E3 those figures will change, even the PS3 will shine at the event let alone the PS4. Sony are smart, a lot of attention will be aimed at the PS4 design and from then on the games.

@goldenface - i'm looking forward to honami too. I love taking photos and having a nice camera is important as well as other features. Togari seems like it would be too big for me. I like being able to slide it into my pocket and go. My ideal would be Honami with stock android. One can dream right?
Also..
why are we still arguing about Xbox One vs. PS4?! I thought this a Sony XPERIA RUMORS thread? :/
