Dimmer in the dark and brighter in the day so as not to hurt the eyes, just like the sensor of my VAIO notebook screen.

Firmware version: R1ED001 - apparently the latest one.

BTW, do any of you guys hear a short noise when entering/exiting the Walkman V2 application (on W850i) and between the tracks (regardless of whether the audio files are saved on the memory stick or in phone memory)?

My W850i gets brighter in the light and dims in the dark. It shouldn't be the other way around. Just doesn't make sense.

And yes, there is a short noise when skipping a track.

Apparently, it seems to be the latest official one, as there are no updates available when searching for updates through SEUS or the phone itself.

Had my white W850i for 4 days. The D-pad cracked. It went back and i got myself a N73 instead. SO dissapointed with SE at the moment.

@captainsm

Same here.
Still, SE have always won lots of extra ponts for style and features.

mine goes bright in the light and dim in the dark. What's the point of making it dim in the light anyway? That way you won't be able to see the screen properly when you're outdoor and the screen will be a torch in the dark. Mine doesn't skip track although i haven't upgrade the firmware.

i think it should just go brighter in light and not dim in dark but just stay the way it is.
