It's hard to mix up the SEUS patches with fw files, as they are being downloaded at totally different stages.
SEUS patches are being downloaded right at the startup of the app, before the splash screen with SE animation appears and are no indication for a new fw...
You can easily check, if there is new fw available or if it is fake, but only on condition that the R5 files are still in your db folder).
If the download progress of the fw files, whc normally takes around 10-15 minutes, is finished in 1-3 seconds, it's fake.
If it really starts downloading at 1% and takes at least a few minutes, prepare yourself to start a new thread on esato
Therefore u should unplug the usb cable from your device prior hitting 'Update' and see what happens...

I have used SEUS a few times before so I can see the difference between SEUS downloading updates for itself and firmware files being downloaded.
Anyway, I don't mind. Everything I use the phone for is either on the Memory Stick or gets synched to PC. Just a couple of settings to change, thats all.

Specifically what stands 137 for?
en, nl means probably English and Netherlands? If so, will it be Generic 1 ?
The phone is from Europe and NOT branded.

I have just updated my P990i Taiwan Trade. The update went smoothly,
but when i turned the phone on, it keeps on restarting... it was like reading or loading something coz it has this scroll bar (amount bar).. it has reached only like 10% of the whole bar, then it restarts itself.. it never goes thru..
what do you think happened?

I'm not sure what the problem is, but you sure picked the worst time to update. SEUS has been kind of unstable lately, dunno what that's about either. So I'll hold off any temptation to check for R6 for now, I'm not as gutsy as some of you guys mainly because I'm going outstation this weekend and I can't afford to have my P990 die on me

tried to use only GSM,
Reinstalled and made a total "reset"
Made the latest update yesterday again just to try and it updated to the same version I had before.
Any suggestions to solve this? Maybe something I forgot to try.
