Thanks..
I did have R1EA030, I used the SE Update software which I downloaded, and now I have the R1FA035. Menu access seems alot faster! Any bugs, I'll post here.

hello guys,
i was wondering since ive read the last 20 pages of this topic and i was wondering is the w910i finally usable now? with the new firmware? does it still have bad reception and dropped calls?
i found this dealer who is selling one for like 370$... so i really like the phone i was wondering if it was safe to get one now since its from asia and i dont get a US warranty... but he did say that if something is wrong he would send it to the sony centre in California or something and i read some people sent theirs in and it works fine now?
i just wanted to make sure... because if its still messed up i might just get a Razr V8... for 330$... since it seems to have less problems... but the w910i looks really nice.
my suggestion to you my friend is drop the idea of getting one of these. i bought it two days ago and now every time i make a call the phone reboots.
i don't know what to do..... can't change it either..... m in deep shit man

That's no reason to tell someone else not to get one. You're very unlucky to have that problem, and I hope you can fix it by updating with SEUS or something, but not many other W910is will experience this problem, so its hardly a reason not to buy it!

i agree. as long as u update the phone to the newer software versions its pretty good phone imo.
of course i always bring this up....if u want something to snap pics with....i recommand u stay away for w910i as its camera is totally not worth its price
musics phone....awesome sexy sleek stylish

hi friends ,
i updated my s/w to R1FA035 yesterday,,,,, till now no reboots.
lets see how long...........
ok i apologise for getting a lil hyper with my previous reply,,, but it happens when you make a hole in your pocket to get something and it turns out that way. anyways hope it will work fine after the upgrade.
again i agree with @pete that the camera is not worth but the phone has a awesome walkman and sexy looks.
to all those who want to try their hands on this baby..... go ahead but be prepared for some hickups. enjoyyyyyyyyyyy

I finally got mine debranded properly.
I flashed Custom AU Red onto my black W910. 2nd try - first time it didn't flash the FS and I still had a vodafone right softkey. That's gone now.
Only thing I can tell that's different between the red and black firmware is the flash menu. Instead of the musaic.thm I had with the Vodafone branding I got eclipse.thm which is a single row menu.
R1F0A35 seems pretty stable to me.
