It doesnt matter.
Nobody is usually interested in older flagships once the new one is out. I dont know about you, but in the UK ive not really seen a PLUS version of any previous flagships.

The Plus versions are mostly online. I did see once in Carphone store a cheaper version of the GS1 with a Super Clear screen instead.

Seems they will indeed skip to Android4.2.2, the leaked 4.2.1 FW was just a test FW for 4.2, even the leaked GS4 protos had 4.2.1.
Incredible, our year old GS3 is ALREADY looking to get 4.2 even before some late 2012 and 2013 flagships from other OEMs
