according to google translate, yes, the first one is HDR `off' and the second one is HDR `on' and I think the movies proved it as well. The face is dark without HDR. It is obvious due to the backlight.

Not bad at all. Exposure seems to be better than the CES samples a few months ago. Colours are nice, focus is a little off in areas but nothing major.

100 crop shows that Sony are using the new noise algorithm; detail is a little smudged but chroma noise has been removed completely.

I suppose it depends on what people want, more noise by sharper crops or vice-versa. Either way zoomed out the photos are nice.

Nothing groundbreaking but nothing bad either.

Sorry guys, but I was forced to remove a handful of posts written today and yesterday because the poster asked me to do so. I also had to change some of the follow-up questions. It was some information about the Xperia Z that should have been kept a secret a couple of more weeks

Someone on Xperia Blog just said they got a Z and it's truly amazing especially the screen and camera. By the way those photo samples are excellent

A video from Clove here and further on into the video you can really see the screen difference between the crappy Samsung to the Sony.
