I beliene nokia 8 has the display of LG G5.
At least is the only 5.3" 1440p I remember.
G5 is one of brightest screen among all LCD.

It also depends on how they work on the screens.
Same screen on different phones will show different results.

You claimed sony screens are behind in sunlight visibility. Best one or not one phone doesn't matter.overall xperias have some of best sunlight visibility.
But I agree with OIS. Plus longer shutter speed would be awesome.

How come bro
Sony displays are not that colour accurate
Are not top notch when it comes to sunlight legibility
Are not the best in max brightness
How come they are best lcds
Btw i am a great sony fan and waiting to buy the next flagship.

The current specifications of xperias wont transfer to sales
They should offer much more.
Even Chinese companies have more sales than sony nowadays.
Sony has been in the smartphone business for a long time and they have a great history.
I hope sony will be back in the limelight with their next flagship announcement.
Till now i only consider xperia z2 as a great flagship from sony, that was ahead of its time with ip68 rating, awesome design, huge battery, great camera and the best performance.
Sony should realease a phone like that and accept all the current trends in the smartphone world or else their sales are going to down further.

There is a professional mode in setting that's pretty accurate. Xperias are as bright as any other flagship.not saying they don't have downsides but new xperias displays aren't one of the cons.
BTW don't worry you won't be disappointed with Sony this year.if XJ says
Heads will be turned I'm 100% sure the flagships will be awesome.

Will the press be broadcasted?

I just want to see mobile. Not interested in new TVs and other stuff.

Gsmarena test :

XZ1c has contrast ratio near 3800 if I am not wrong.
It is as high as A3 ( 2016 or 2017).
XZP dont even score 3000.

Maybe it is due 4K.
Looks like it is harder to push brightness/contrast when ppi is that high.

Yes comparing sunlight legibility between XZ 1 and XZ premium the XZ 1 is able to see better under sunlight but not for XZ premium. Thats why I was hoping for all flagship quality phones to have sunlight legibility to reach 4000 and above. (I Like how Sony a is using white magic for their camera displays, bright yet consume less battery power )
