actually, even though it has been reviewed prior its release after 3 or 4 months, I still bought the unit.
My k850 is working almost perfectly fine, but reading some of the experiences of our fellow k850i users, I feel disheartened and a bit urged to discontinue using this unit, albeit its good condition.
Maybe ignorance really is bliss after all...
But still I'm on SE's side. I still prefer SE's user interface even though SE seems to be falling apart.
I'm accustomed to it.

snipersupra, where are you from? I'm trying to figure out if the less buggy / more buggy k850i's are typically found in certain areas. (as was suggested by Hiron on the following thread):

I'm from the Philippines. But some of my folks here are having problems that I don't experience.
Maybe the difference took place when I took my phone on an SE service center and they completely flashed my phone (a la brand new unit)
@plankgatan
The "skaterboi" pic was amazing!
I recommend you join the World View 2008 contest.
I will be joining the shooting contest as well.

I'd still prefer an SE model than Motorola.
Motorola phones have some weird designs, IMHO

Guys !
a new version of SEUS has been released today.
Now it doesn't just update the firwmare like before, it totally re-flashes the phone, like davinci and other.
So you'll loose all your settings and data, but it can be a free and fast method to un-BROD your K850i ![ This Message was edited by: piflechien on 2008-07-18 09:10 ]

Motorola V9 (or V8) are really sleek and sexy.
What they don't have are camera or functionalities like S.E. or Nokai.
Right now I'm sticking with my K850 until the iphone 3G gets to my country.
I will do the firmware update since this unit is covered by warranty (less than one month old).
I will report about any issue.

I am not going to buy an SE phone until it is 5-6 months from its date of launch. That way I can make sure I won't run into any funky stuff with the phone and let others report on how good the phone is.
yeah right
In that time SE would have announced their next new phone and you'll want that
