Basically you get some webspace, for which the URL of will be
http://web.mac.com/[your username]
You can buy your own domain name separately and point it to your .mac webspace if you want.
Personally, I've bought separate web-space from
www.1and1.co.uk but .mac does have a lot of cool Mac-only features for syncing and backup. If you only want the web-space you'd be better off with something like 1and1.

I like the way that iWeb designs webpages, but can I publish these to domain names other than .Mac? Or can I only publish them if I have a .Mac accounts with a website?

I have managed to come up with yeat another question. I browse the web and I will use ebay as a example for this, when using safari if you click ona item half way down the page and then go back, it would normally go back to the same place in the page, not right up the top again. My one seems to start off at the top every time, occasionally it won't buyt 80% of the itme it will, this is so annoying, is there a setting you can change etc? I have cleared the cashe and cookies but am lost to why this happens

@w900boy
With iWeb, you can publish to a local folder then manually upload the files to anywhere you want via an FTP client.
@luke
Not sure about your problem. There's no preference files that would help as far as I know. Sometimes if the page hasn't fully loaded it will do that, but otherwise I don't know what to suggest!

hmmm, odd I thought maybe it was something to do with the cashe or cookies, but since I deleted them it still does it and is really annoying, I have run software updater regually will I have the latest version of safari?
Another question ive been meaning to ask for ages is with imovie. I filmed a mates party in widescreen, and imported it into i-movie, now the problem is its all squashed, I cannot see anything obvious in the settings that changes i-moive to widescreen, is there a option to do this?
cheers

When you start a new iMovie project you should be prompted to choose the video format. Make sure you choose widescreen. I think that may be the problem.

Here you go - the Formac Studio DV Bridge.
Converts old-style analogue video footage to DV, so you can edit it in iMovie and create your own DVDs with iDVD.
