The earphone on my K800i seems to be completely broke
It started to malfunction a couple of days ago, started to work again, disappeared again and so on. It is completely silent in the service test too.
I had firmware R1ED001 on it and thought it could be a bug, so i installed the latest firmware today and the earphone started to work again! Until now, when I got a call and it was silent again.
Right now I have to use either speakerphone or handsfree. What can I do to fix this? Can a SE service center do anything? Kinda crappy that a phone bought half a year ago starts to malfunction like this.

It seems the ear speakers are dying quite regularly in the K800's - I hope this isn't too common a problem!

You have a missed call - go to your missed call list and it will disappear.

Im still having a problem with call logging. I thought this was a firmware problem? but ive just updated to the latest firmware, and my in, our, and missed calls are still not being logged, the call register is completely empty. Is this a firmware problem or a handset problem? If its handset i'll return it for repair.

Hi got 2 Sony K800i phones form wife and me on Virgin 30 contract. Cannot get voicemail by holding down 1 or by typing in 222. Virgin have said that they cannot reprogram 1 key, they have tried sending various resets down the line, but I have not recived them.
Currently the only way I can access voicemail is by going into my phonebook and searching for the number I saved. Any ideas.

Hi! i have a new k800i. i was wondering if anyone encountered these and are these problems covered by the 1year service of the shop i bought my phone from?
1. after i connect my phone to my pc thru the usb and it restarts, the shortcut key when you push the joystick up returns to its default which is the music play. so i have to set it again to the inbox folder where i set it initially.
2. after using several functions like camera, playing some videos, games, transferring pictures from one folder to another etc, these things happen to my phone:
2a. when you go to the alarm clock setting, the prints (which are normally in black color) turns transparent and the active ones are blinking white and transparent.i now have tor estart my phone for everything to be viewed normally again.
2b. message alerts gets jumbled. exmple, when my keypad is locked and i press some keys, im expecting the word "press * then unlock". however what comes out are jumbled letters "kahdenj" for example. same goes with other message alerts.
3. is this a problem? after taking a picture, the pictures changes its position. for example, if im holding my phone vertically, initially the picture i shot is horizontally facing left. but then when im vieweing my picture already in the album, it is already positioned facing horizontal right. really weird.
4. battery life wears out easily if i use camera and play music. are there any battery for this phone that could last longer?
please let me know your comments and what should i do? thanks.

My k800i was left unused for 2 days, meaning, the battery was totally empty and by the time i got home, i charged it immediately, but when i went back to check on my phone, the charging bar isn't there anymore, i tried a whole lot of stuff like removing the battery for more than an hour and tried to charge it again, with no luck, it did not worked, i had my phone check by a local cellphone repair shop, they told me that the phone is ok,the battery and the charger are both ok but then the problem is with the program and it needs to be reprogrammed.what the heck is the program?is it a firmware or what? need your help guys!

I just got a new SE phone and ran into the same problem you had regarding the message:
'This application has failed to start because Telecalib_logging.dll was not found. Re-Installing the application may fix this problem.'
I found my problem was that my "PATH" environment variable already had too much in it, so the installer couldn't add any more entries into this environment variable.
The solution I found is to move some of the entries into a seperate environment variable (ie "PATH_2"), and then add "%PATH_2%;" as an entry in the PATH variable. Then you can re-run the installer and it should work fine - or you can manually add the following entry to the PATH variable:
C:\\Program Files\\Common Files\\Teleca Shared;
This worked for me, hope this helps for others with the same problem,

But my problem is that When i hold down 2 n 5 while puting cable on. The pc cant detect anything. I have also tried holding down "c" but that doesnt do anything either.
Can anyone help?
