who is "moaning"?! read the messages first before you make your annoying comments. i never said that the p990i's camera is crappy or insufficient enough for my needs.

Unlike P910, P990 quite often jumps out of current field if I draw outside it instead of new letter typing.

After writing a sms/text at FC, I'll go to More > Send to send my sms/text.
However, it looks like there are two versions while sending a sms/text.
Version 1) It will stay in the sms application and the Sent tab will appear.
Version 2) From the sms application, it will go back to the mainpage then the Sent tab will appear.

Don't know in what discussion about p990 i read about it but someone had problems with Disc2Phone and called SE-support that said the program didn't support p990..
They don't know what they are talking about at SE-support. It works perfectly... all you have to do is to make sure the USP-setting is to "filemanaging" and not "Phonemanaging" (or something like that... I have it in swedish.. don't know exacly what it says in english.)

Personally i think the phone looks a lot better and is easier to use without the flip, so i removed mine the day i got it (most of the useful apps are FO only anyway) . But i hit the same problem when i tried to use SEUS without the flip, no C key.
After a bit of trial and error, i found with the flip removed, you hold down the @ key on the right side of the phone instead of C. Then SEUS will work fine.
hopefully that'll prove useful for other flipless P990i users.
I do have a question though, does anyone know how to reach the 'status' screen on a flipless p990i? With the flip it's More - Status, from the FC home screen. I cannot find it in FO/flipless mode, and it's pretty useful to see the free memory when trying to work out why application X or Y won't load up properly.
If anyone knows that one, do share, thanks.

EVERY time I receive a message , it comes up with an error message and closes the messaging app. and it doesn't display the little envelope icon, so if I don't hear the message alert,I've got no idea I've received a message.
also,I am unable to change the background on flip open/closed.
and the phone has restarted a couple of times to "improve performance"

Ive just got my p990i on Thursday. First impressions I loved it.
I walked out the shop and tried to make a call. The thing froze. After a while thinking Id done something the only option I was left with was to take the battery out to reset it. It crashed everytime I tried to use it. So I took it back to the shop and they gave me a new handset.
2 days on with my new handset I have all the same problems. The phone crashes pretty much everytime I look at the thing. I dont seem to recieve all calls or sms messages and I dont get any warnings when I do get messages. The camera always switches into video mode without my say so. It constantly shuts down to as it claims "improve performance". IN fact the list goes on and on......... Im now back with my old nokia
When the p990i works I love the phone so I dont want to bin it straightaway and get something else or to trust that Ive just managed to get 2 shitty handset within 2 days.
Any advice welcome...
