The line-up is below crap - plus, I'm a bit oldfashioned, so I would pay a bit for a great console, but I don't care about all the extras!

30 titles will be available in the coming few weeks, so i'd say thats not bad at all.

[/quote] But still axxxr - if I had felt like buing one I would have! That's how I shop occasionally! And I would have said no, I don't want a game with it! Free or not, keep it!... That is poor! And I'm neither a wii-er nor an x-boxer! Though, sure, in 6 months it'll all be good!

i think the thinning of exclusives might have an impact as well. i mean gta coming out on both the xbox and ps3. pro evo is on both. im not into racing games so gran turismo does nothing for me.
if the ps3 gets some good titles over the coming months that i cant get for my xbox360 i might be tempted but at the moment its just not appealing enough.
i agree its not badly priced when you add up what you get but i like the idea of chosing.
plus the orginal ps2 dvd was so poor it wasnt worth using and the way prices fall i think buyin a stand alone hd-dvd blue ray or even one that plays both wont be that expensive soon.

I dont know why people are saying its too expensive.....

Although i'm a 360 man i actually think the PS3 is decent value.

For £425 your getting first and foremost a pretty darn good games console with some excellent games on the horizon, and already GT HD. Your also getting a Blue-Ray player, and if i'm not mistaken you cant get a standalone blue-ray player for £425....

Its also got built in wifi and a large HD (60gb)

Compare this to the 360 when you add what you have to buy to add on to the 360 to make it the same there about the same, but the PS3 has the advantage of its all built in, no ugly wifi adapter sticking outta the back

I am really surprised nearly all shops still have em, i was in town today and everywhere had em, not like the 360 which flew off the shelves or the PS2....

Gotta say though the launch line up of games for the PS3 is very weak..... Maybe one of the reasons why they aint selling as much as anticipated?

Though if i had the spare cash i would of just bought it for the Blue Ray player and the free download of GT HD alone

It maybe good value for money... if you want all that extra shit. i for one dont. I would be willing to pay £300 for a ps3 without all that blue gay crap, i actually got round to watching a blue ray disc on a hdtv and you know what its like a tiny improvement on dvd.

Well Metal Gear Solid 4, Final Fantasy XIII and Devil May Cry 4 will definately have an impact, and now that Killzone 2 has officially been announced I think that although like with most consoles really the launch line-up is ok to bad, the PS3 has some massive titans of games coming its way.

I agree with metal gear solid and devil may cry (not a final fant fan so i ll not comment) but killzone 2 the first was truly horrid, wasnt it supposed to be the answer to halo 2 ?
i m still shocked by the amount of consoles available, i know when i got my ps2 it took weeks after launch to get my hands on one. today every shop i went to had at least 8 in stock available for sale.

Well with the timing I'd say the answer to Gears of War and possibly Halo 3. Also, Final Fantasy has an absolutely massive fanbase worldwide, one of the biggest and so with the main series being always on Playstation...

i guess it comes down to the games you like playing final fant does nothing for me but i know others love it.
the games i prefer all seem to be cross platform or xbox only like gears of war, so at the moment theres no incentive for me to get a ps3.
anyone got any comments on the online aspect of the ps3 yet i know its early days over here but its been out a bit longer in other parts of the world and esato members are worldwide
