So does this P1i has the option to store emails to memory card instead of phone's internal memory?

Good question and it's the right place to ask it. I'm very curious as well

If the P1i has more RAM than the P990, but has the same processor than does that mean it can keep more applications open at the same time, but opening applications will be as slow as the P990i?
My N95 and the E90 opens applications really quickly the problem with the N95 is not enough RAM. Hope the P1i can open applications quickly as well.

Or when it's lying on a table, you can see from a distance if the led is blinking or not.
Now think of holding the phone in your hand! Not so engineous when working with other apps to see you got an incoming message.

But if you're using the phone you'll see a nice big message icon/missed call icon in the status bar! Not so stupid, eh?
The light is only needed when you're not working with the phone...

Hi all,
I haven't seen any mention of the speed of the P1 as yet and really would appreciated knowing a couple of really simple things.
How long takes it take from cold start to being usable?
How long does it take the Calendar to open and is ready to enter a new appointment actually inputting Data? same for messaging and Internet would also be good.
Media Player playing videos speed to playing a file from opening the app?
I would imagine having enough Ram to run multiple apps is a given so not really important as this should be fixed with the 128mb Ram installed.
Marc

I would like to know this too.....we all know about RAM, but nobody has said anything about the speed in opening applications. I gather it has not improved over the P990i since it uses the same processor.

The speed can be improved by firmware optimisations, and other factors - for instance, the M600 is generally regarded to be faster than the P990, although it has the same processor. Also, the extra RAM will cut out any delay that might arise as other applications in the background are shut down to make room.
